Com apenas 24 mudanças foi disponibilizado uma nova versão estável do Kernel do Linux da série de lançamentos 3.6.x. Esta versão traz a correção para um polêmico bug no sistema de arquivos ext4, que ocorre quando se utiliza algumas opções de montagem "exóticas", este erro pode causar o corrompimento do sistema de arquivos. Este lançamento ainda inclui correções para o driver de vídeo nouveau, subsistema USB, sistema de arquivos ceph, dentre outros.
