Camila Achutti - is the cover issue of Info Exame - just arrived from a work season at Google Mountain View, Silicon Valley, is a founder of the blog Women on Computing, graduated in Computing Science at IME-USP and came back to Brazil just crazy to change the world using technology.
Camila is also the director of Technovation Challenge, the largest girls only tech enterpreneurship competition. The event goes beyond just a programming contest, instead it tries to facilitate the entry of girls in the computing universe, worldwide.
At Technovation Challenge, during 4 months, girls from 12 to 23 years old work in groups with the aid of a mentor and develop applications that help solve communities problems. In 2013 a group of brazilians joined for the first time and ranked third place in the general ranking, among 128 teams with an app that gathers together charity institutions and their donators.
From what we could see, Achutti's plans to change the world with technology are doing so very well. She's one of our invited guests speakers for the 15th edition of FISL!
Welcome, Camila!
