Fisl14 hosted a speech about mapping points of culture with Marcelo Soares de Souza from NGO “Artéria, Cultura e Cidadania” who presented the Mapa da Cultura, a tool that was developed by the NGO and the Federal District Government through the Culture Support Fund which is aimed at giving visibility to cultural production besides building indicators and diagnostics about the cultural dynamics in Brazil.
The Culture Map is a Free Software under the license GPLv3, developed in Ruby on Rails 3.2.13 with PostgreSQL database, using OpenLayers (Open Street Map).
