04/18/2011: final date for article registration
04/20/2011: final date for article submission
05/13/2011: release of results
05/20/2011: final date for sending in the final draft of the articles

Format and Submission of Articles

1.Articles must be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish.
2.Articles must be limited to six pages, including the abstract, figures and bibliographical references.
3.The text format must comply with the SBC model of publishing articles, available here.
4.Submission must be in either the Postcript (use Generic Postscript) or PDF (Portable Document Format) formats.
5.Submission of papers is restricted to digital format, access.

Authors are invited to submit original articles that deal with completed works, or those in progress, related to research or success cases involving free software.

The leading topics of interest include (but are not restricted to) the use or development of free software in the areas of:

  • Mobile, ubiquitous or pervasive computing
  • Software engineering
  • Project management
  • Educational IT

Article Evaluation

The articles will be evaluated by a body of reviewers active in the above fields, considering the technical merit and relevance of the papers to the event. All the accepted articles will be published in the annals of the conference. At least one of the authors of each selected article must register in and appear at the event to present the paper.
