Richard Stallman – Founder of the Free Software movement, he is a programmer, hacker, and an influential political activists in the area of technology and information freedom. He is the author of GNU GPL, the most used free license worldwide and which consolidated the concept of copyleft.

Valerie Aurora (formerly Val Henson) - She has over ten years of experience as both an open source developer specializing in file systems and an advocate for women in open source.  In 2011, Valerie co-founded the Ada Initiative with Mary Gardiner in order to work full-time on increasing the participation of women in open source, Wikipedia, and other areas of open technology and culture. 


Jon "Maddog" Hall- Executive Director of Linux International, an association of large, international technology companies in the area of Information Technology that promote operating systems based on Linux. He is one of the most well-known technology activists worldwide.

Alexis Rossi- Alexis Rossi is the Director of Collections of the Internet Archive, the most well-known web archvie worldwide. Rossi also worked at ClariNet (the first online news aggregator) and was the Editorial Director of Alexa, the primary web traffic monitor.

Mitch Altman - Hacker and inventor, Altman was one of the pioneers of virtual reality. He invented TV-B-Gone, a universal remote control compatible with most existing television sets and he is the president of Cornfield Electronics.

Luciana Fuji - Computer scientists, Fuji works with consulting and development of Free Software for a company in the United Kingdom. She is a contributor to Cheese, webcam software for the GNOME project, a of multimedia projects involving the Gstreamer framework.
